If the government initiated a tax on sugar to combat obesity, how might your grocery shopping be affected?

Most of my foods would be more expensive given that most foods contains sugar in them.

Many items have an absurd amount of sugar in them, especially cheap items. I, like many others, are trying to cut back on sugar, but it's hard when you're shopping on a budget and sugary foods are so cheap and accessible.

I feel as though the grocery stores would be very empty and only have healthy foods and lots of fruits and veggies. Once the sugar is gone not many people would want to go grocery shopping with getting something sugary.

It's gonna cost to much to even be able to afford them.

I feel there will be no change but some backlash and few will transition into less sugary replacement
