How would you express the importance of traditional holidays to someone who’s unfamiliar with your culture?

I think its important to have cultural holidays because you can avoid a lot of conflict and lack of understanding with peoples cultures who are different from yours. its always good to educate yourself about other people and try to get a mutual understanding
