Yes food is culture. I grew up with southern food and yes, it is a part of my heritage.

food tells the story of culture, through memories and hardships people bonded through food, i am polish so my family bonded over dinner with pierogi, but russians forced a lot of their culture on us when they colonized us and forced us into the eastern bloc
