What I would like to hear from people who oppose funding for Ukraine is what do they think a fair negotiated solution would look like. You know, like the one Trump says he could work out in 24 hours.
@HumanRightsMusselRepublican3mos3MO
Ukraine received $200B in cash and support and failed their spring offensive.
They cannot beat Russia. It's just the cold reality.
Time to accept a solution where the current lines are the new border. The Ukrainians would have been better off with the peace deal in 2022.

And if the US signs off on that, what will other countries think about how much support they can count on from us? Don’t you think they’ll just cut deals with our enemies that go against our interests?
@HumanRightsMusselRepublican3mos3MO
Our values are ours. They can align with those, or those of our enemies. Their choice.
We cannot allow ourselves to be subjected to blackmail and extortion to have allies.
We helped. They lost. It's over.

Russia is not our problem? What will other countries think about whether they can count on US support in times of trouble? And you don’t think the US’s own economic well-being depends on a stable world order?
@HumanRightsMusselRepublican3mos3MO
No, Russia is not our problem. And other countries can build their own military. We are $34 trillion in debt with millions of people coming through our border.
@ProportionalPenguinDemocrat3mos3MO
Russia is not our problem? You mean the US would be unaffected by Russia, China, and Iran expanding their power around the world?
As for the debt, the key there is getting entitlements under control —and Trump has said that’s off the table.

We’ve pushed Russia and China together by funding Ukraine, and spent decades appeasing China and sending them all of our IP and manufacturing jobs.
You think funding Ukraine is going to help solve that?
@ProportionalPenguinDemocrat3mos3MO
Sure, we could bring a lot of those jobs back if you’re willing to work for a buck an hour or pay a lot more for goods. Why not?
