individualism is important but I dont think it would thrive in a big community because people are followers and some would just listen to one person

I think that individualism in character could thrive, as well as political individualism.

Individualism is important and should be respected in our voting but I find our society currently undervalues community support and thus leaves people feeling isolated and bitter
