What's the toughest objection you've heard against sustainable practices, and how would you address it?

 @9KKFX4M from Mississippi answered…3mos3MO

I have heard that the majority of all items sent for recycling end up in landfills. There should be more regulation concerning the handling and sorting of trash as well as incentives to create recycled products.

"Sustainability is too expensive." By when we purchase sustainable items and it can be in fact be really expensive.

How do you think your choice of diet impacts the environment, and have you considered changing it for sustainability reasons?

 @9J6VMSL from North Carolina answered…4mos4MO

yes but. I really have a difficult time giving up "bad food"

 @9J7LGP9 from Washington disagreed…4mos4MO

While it's true that the human diet requires meat for certain proteins, fats etc that cannot be taken from plants, the meat and dairy industry is cruel and should be reformed to more humane methods of farming. That's not to say that soy farms aren't also damaging to the environment.

 @9J6W326 from California answered…4mos4MO

I think we need to prioritize healthy diets above sustainability because many diets that people choose to be sustainable have a negative impact on their health

 @9J6VY43Libertarian from Indiana answered…4mos4MO

 @ISIDEWITHasked…2mos2MO

How would you persuade others that conserving water is crucial for our planet?

 @9L2SSH5 from Montana answered…2mos2MO

The water most of us use is that of which behaves much like a water bottle and not the tap, it's not actually as infinite as you think and there is always a limit to the water throughput of any and all rivers in the world so try not to waste water some is fine, but lots like a fully on sink gives people the right to be a bit hissy with you.
