In what ways do you think respecting traditional gender roles impacts relationships in modern society?

 @9KHQFP7Peace and Freedom from South Carolina answered…3mos3MO

I think women and men should be see as the same and help each other instead of one being bigger than the other

 @9KJ55FB from North Carolina agreed…3mos3MO

The United States preaches equality yet we still see differences in pay and other things. Women deserve to be seen on the same equal scale as men.

 @9KHRC5FLibertarian  from Missouri answered…3mos3MO

Too be honest, men have more beneficial roles in the world. Women do too but I mostly prefer men to do the work for the women because of the roles and how genetically different both genders are and can be.

 @9KHPR4FRepublican from Virginia answered…3mos3MO

 @9KHNYSKPeace and Freedom from Georgia answered…3mos3MO

I feel as if the gender roles being switched are causing problems for others and they feel as if its a threat to our community as I speak for others not for me

How do you think we can create a society where different levels of religious observance are respected by all?

 @9JH4YZR from Kentucky answered…4mos4MO

I think that your religion shouldn’t matter or be apart of how you are treated.

 @9JJX6PSagreed…4mos4MO

Religion is completely up to you and should be used against you in any perspectives. Everyone should be treated evenly

 @9JH5G6Y from Utah answered…4mos4MO

I think that people just need to be more tolerant. Just because it isn't their certain way of thinking or practicing religion doesn't mean we need to "convert" them or stop them from practicing safe, inclusive religion

 @9JH533T from Ohio answered…4mos4MO

People simply need to mind their business and accept the fact that no matter race, age, gender, religion, sexuality, etc.. we are all the same; human. The stigma on Islam should be abolished fully.

 @ISIDEWITHasked…2mos2MO

How do you resolve the tension between community expectations and your individuality?

 @9LF2MVX from New York answered…1mo1MO

 @9LF2MHG from Michigan answered…1mo1MO

Stop fighting against a country and insead fight for the peace between them

Can you share an experience where traditional wisdom provided a solution to a modern problem?

 @9JH4QV7 from Maryland answered…4mos4MO

I can only think of traditional wisdom in terms of the environment. We as a country should go back to a time where we weren’t focused on technology and the use of electricity. I agree with Islamic conservatism for countries primarily with Islamic citizens. However, citizens should have a right to their own beliefs and not be prosecuted for them.

 @9JH4DRY from Arizona answered…4mos4MO

Traditional wisdom has provided me with solutions to modern problems. Advice from traditional individuals and their outlook on life and how to remain steady is beneficial.

Should the enforcement of religious norms be the role of the state, community leaders, or individuals?

 @9J4PSNSSocialist from California answered…4mos4MO

It should be the role of the individual. Not everyone falls under the same religion so the idea that we as a society should follow the norms of one specific religion is weird.

 @9J4RLTN from Washington agreed…4mos4MO

There should always be a separation of church and state, and we should not be promoting behavior by having community leaders enforce using shame.

 @9J4PQLVAmerican Solidarity from Iowa answered…4mos4MO

The federal government should establish no law respecting the establishment of any religion. Therefore the government should not enforce a law simply because of a particular religion, but if it is a good law it should be reasonable apart from Islamic law. The reason should not be to enforce Islamic law but the final decision might be in line with Islamic law. (The same can be true for Christian, Jewish, Hindu, or any other religious law)

 @9J6QLNQRepublican from Pennsylvania disagreed…4mos4MO

Our law system is based on christian and catholic beliefs, keeping it this way can ensure that those morals stay in America.

 @9J4PYX2 from New Hampshire answered…4mos4MO

Sharia Law goes against US law and should never be allowed in this country.

 @ISIDEWITHasked…5mos5MO

Should modern educational curricula integrate religious teachings, and if so, to what extent?

 @9HZY2W5Green from New Hampshire answered…4mos4MO

No, public schools should not try to persuade children to join any religion.

 @9J29NWW from Oregon agreed…4mos4MO

Religion is something that you choose to participate in and everyone has different beliefs so they should not be forced or persuaded in school to join a religion. Children are also more susceptible to what people say and should not be influenced by random religious people trying to spread their beliefs

 @9HMQGDL from Utah answered…5mos5MO

No, not exactly. If I really wanted to get into it, I would probably find things that were stating more of the facts.

 @9HM2SR2 from Indiana answered…5mos5MO

Yes, Islamic beliefs are not left wing or right wing. I still usually support the Republican Party, because the Democrats are correct about almost nothing

Like it or not, politics is downstream of culture. Religions (secular ones or not) shape the morality of a nation's law. As it should be. People should live under a set of rules that fits their culture.
